Behind the Lens

About Howard

Authenticity In Every Frame.

A little backstory on my photography journey: I’ve always loved bringing a camera along wherever I went—school trips, sporting events, you name it. You never know what moment you’ll capture, and that’s always been the magic of it for me.

I got my first DSLR, a Canon T5i, back in 2016 while doing some work that called for a decent camera. When that work ended, the camera collected dust for a few years… until July 2023, when my family and I traveled to the Azores. I bought my first lens, a Tamron 18-400mm, for that trip—and I instantly fell back in love with photography.

In March 2024, I picked up a Tamron 150-600mm lens and started capturing some incredible nature and wildlife images. Then, in March 2025, I took things to the next level and upgraded to the Canon R5 with a 24-240mm lens. It’s been a game-changer in terms of image quality, flexibility, and creative possibilities.
